That catch would not have meant much after Tolbert dropped the ball out of his hands like it was a demon hot-potato, when we were finally gaining momentum on the 50 yard line.

Gano doinking one off the upright, Tolbert fumbling on one of our best drives, the strip-sack for a TD the play after a BS call. A pick inside the 20 off of Ginn’s hands, Cotchery dropping a TD...all that and we STILL had the ball down 6 with 3 minutes to go score and win the game. If we could ever have one mulligan it would be that game

It would not have mattered if it was called a catch. Those refs were clearly going to give the game to Denver. Payton was promised a SB.

You know, I hate to believe in that sort of thing, but I wouldn't necessarily be surprised.

But it does make me ask, for those of you who are convinced of such shenanigans, why would you watch the league at all. Is it just like professional wrestling to you?

I'd love to believe in the integrity of the spirit of competition, but with the sums of money and egos in play, perhaps it's akin to believing in Santa as an adult.

Winning isn't worth it if we have to be corrupt.  I'm happy with 2nd.

Did you mention when von slapped the ball backwards on a strip sack that should have been a penalty and our ball back?

To answer people watch wrestling right? With that said not every game is rigged. Last year the league laid the road for the Saints but that didn't happen.
