and?  Sure this happens ALL the time but only someone like Smith would actually speak about it.  Does not change my view of him at all...same 'ol Smith and same 'ol me not giving a crap when he acts like a jerk.  Will always remain my favorite receiver of all time because what he did on the field is all that mattered to me.  Everything else is secondary because....football player playing football.

There's something about how Gettleman parted with veteran players here that just set some of them into revenge mode. This certainly wasn't the only case of it getting personal with a former star here.

Gettleman was an arrogant asshole who thought he was God’s gift to football.

And two weeks ago Smitty said he “totally understood why we moved on” mainly because it had to become Cams team. Of course he was pissed at the time. Many players are. Besides him and D-Lo, who has had an issue? Those two would never “lash out” at anyone? Right? Freakin D-Lo decided to get in shape for the first time in years, and played well for PIT, after DG cut his money pit off.

Smitty went after Cam too back then? Was that justified?

    • Good read and stuff under it is not bad either. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/panthers-cb-jaycee-horn-says-184519429.html
    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
