Winners and Losers from the Lions Game

TLDR

Winners - Cam and DJ Moore

Losers - Funchess, Gano, Ron Rivera

 

 

I am no longer throwing Washington in the mix. At this point it is Ron Rivera's fault for not taking over as Washington is obviously not up to the task.

 

Who would you add to these lists?

Probably so. I kind of expect at least a touchdown a game from him at this point. lol

Biggest loser: Panthers fans

Loser's: The fan base.

We love this team, we do not love watching the same movie over and over. We go hurry up 3 times and score 3 tds. We go slow down and do squat all the rest of the game. Ron is holding this team back.

Next week - and every week thereafter - is the season for us.  We can still win out and be fine.  However, it's long been bandied about that Ron Rivera teams are at their best late in the season.  If this team bucks that trend, then I think Tepper will be more than justified in making a change this off season.

It's beginning to look like Rivera has lost the team.

Maybe Ron will have enough sense to play Moore/Curtis over Funchess after this disaster.    Gano could be just streaky, made so many in a row including the improbable game winner, then he got into a slump somehow.     What pisses me off is how depleted was Detroit and we played them with one hand tied the whole game just giving the thing away.

Loser: Cam Newton

Because putting the team on your back and delivering a MVP worthy performance only to be let down by your coach and “N1” WR and then be thrown under the bus by said coach and ridiculed by the teams fan base.

Rivera is the biggest loser, for keeping Funchess in and for not firing Washington after the Steelers loss. He had a chance to save his ass but now he has forced himself to become the scapegoat. End of story.

Ron Rivera allowing Vets to play over very good up and coming rookies, will be his biggest downfall.

Still dont agree with the 2 point call.  We could have held them and got to OT and won.  Had momentum and had stopped them previously on defense.  Just makes you wonder if Ron is feeling some heat from within.  

On another note, if Smith ever comes back I would bench Funchess and play him.

I think Funchess played his way out of town yesterday.

A more aggressive team would severely diminish his role moving forward. All told, he should be at best the 3rd receiver? Hell I'd take Jairus Wright over him.
