1996: Started 6-4. Finished 12-4 behind a strong veteran defense, all the way to the NFC Championship game.

2006: Started 6-4. Finished 8-8. Delhomme missed games with a broken thumb but it probably wouldn’t have mattered. The 2006 Panthers have some similarities to the 2018 team, wildly inconsistent and lost games they shouldn’t have.

Which direction will this year’s team go? A strong winning streak to head into the playoffs? Or meander around and finish .500?

We're a carbon copy of 2006. Absolutely identical. We get worked on Sunday, then beat the Bucs or Browns, lose everything else and beat the Saints' backups in Week 17
