Would Tepper ever change the mascot, logo, and jerseys?

It's no secret, the Panthers literally have the unluckiest mascot in the world: a black cat. This legitimately begs the question if the mascot has been a bad omen and negatively affected the performance of this team over the years. The Panthers are like Icarus, falling back down to earth whenever they fly too close to the sun, only to drown in the ocean.

Would Tepper ever consider changing this mascot to something that doesn't represent unluckiness and bad omens? I honestly would support it. It would give me one less reason to justify why this team is so consistently disappointing. What would you call the team? Maybe we could just change the cat logo from black to blue or white or something.

I could see him changing the jerseys but the mascot is too recognizable to the public to have it go away, didn't it win some award recently for best mascot or something?  if he got rid of it they'd basically have to change the whole team name and completely rebadge.

The Panthers all-black alternates did win best uniform of all time on an NFL.com poll because Dave Damesheck is a douche bag and said the Panthers suck or something so it mobilized Panther nation to create a bunch of bots that voted 5 million times to win the poll. He didn't announce a winner and never spoke of it again.

Jerseys probably. As for the rest, you're way overthinking things.

On the mascot or logo, why would he make such drastic changes if they aren't necessary for a franchise he just paid billions for? Especially when he could just clean house in the front office and bring in a fresh vibrant innovative staff. Winning does a hell of a lot more than a logo or a mascot.

A black cat logo is the cause of this team's poor performance?

Why stop there?  Maybe a witch burning, a virgin sacrifice or perhaps a Commissioner Goodell voodoo doll might improve our fortunes?

In reality the cause is much less mysterious than the OP suggests, look no further than inept ownership, management and coaching for the Panthers organization's inability to build a winning tradition.

    • I never thought a second look was even necessary. I was begging the football gods not to have us trade up to the 1st pick. And damn once we did it was a thoroughbred vs a little pony.    If you have a perceived generational player in the pool and you have the 1st pick, you just don’t trade it. In the first place. But all this Bryce drama - which (understandably) takes over almost any thread, just like this one - would never have happened if the team was not sold to Tepper.
    • I agree. I understand why he did though. And surely he had his parents in his ear who have always gone out of their way to make sure he always had the best and the least amount of adversity around him to that point in his life advising him to do so. Where I take the most issue with it is when people who just want to be sycophants start listing off other QB's who didn't throw at the combine and you don't even make it through half the names before your eyes roll right into the back of your head realizing every single of those QB's who didn't throw already clearly showcased the necessary prerequisite physical talents needed for the position.
