Who is least interested in Funchess on this play?

obviously the ball was never going to anyone on the left side

Hate to say it but this is true.  I think Cam makes up his mind in the huddle where he is going with the ball.

I suspect the receivers all know this.  Not excusing the jogging, but after a while you get tired of putting on your best move knowing there is a 0% chance your QB will  be glancing your way.

I realize this is a knock on Cam so everyone will immediately assume I must be a racist (I'm not).  Cam is incredible, is freakishly big, strong, athletic, and durable, and he brings other dimensions to the QB position that literally no one else can.  But making split second reads after the play has started is the most difficult thing a QB has to do and I don't think this is Cam's strong suit.

They collide on the right side because the DB/S pushes the TE into the post from the receiver on the right, this is a non-flag for defensive holding as it is beyond 5 yards, on the left it may be by design as the void was made available, on short fields you can't run full speed trough zone defense. If Cam sees Funchess he's open for YAC.

Funchess and YAC? Let me stop you there. Lol

It's not racist to say the obvious just because it's Cam, same dude who might would call you racist for that is the same dude that was hating on a white running back all last year insinuating he was a bust already and couldnt improve this year. Four interceptions no matter what skin color you are warrants criticism and not many teams win with that terrible of a performance.

On to more interesting topic, my guess is this was a one-read timing route but like someone stated, the DB got away with contact and the play was blown up when the two receivers inexplicably ran into each other because of a small shove. Cam was at fault for not looking off while one WR probably ran the wrong route or just terrible play design all together.

Has he ever caught a pass and actually ran with it?  I honestly cannot remember any catches by him where he doesnt catch the ball and immediately fall down.  Does he have any YAC this season at all?

WTF?

Watch all of the WRs--lazy on the left--jogging.  On the right, where Cam looks, they collide.  A PRO football team in week 13?

See this too often.....if they are not the first look or hot read, they just casually fuging jog not expecting the ball.  You should run hard and expect the ball every down!!  That's why the pats recievers are good and catching in stride, even if they are not the first read!  Also....doesn't seem often enough for Cam to look off the defenders, maybe because he knows he doesn't have time to?  If he did, he could do a quick scan and toss the open man the ball.  But maybe Cam feels like Funchess isn't worth the risk of a drop ball or the defenders are willing to take the risk believing he will drop the ball?

Looks like the real problem with this play is Ian Thomas having a timing/route issue and colliding with Moore. This is almost certainly due to a lack of reps on Thomas' part.

Oh and the fact that Chris Clark gets blown up

It was probably a half field read, but still, anything can and will happen. You are fugging losing a game and fugging playoffs are on the line. Run the fugging routes.

Its pretty bad effort on almost everyone’s part on that play. But I can’t stand these  one route plays we have where Cam stands flat footed waiting on a slant staring down the wr then throwing  a B.B. off his chest that’s either incomplete or  intercepted.

Or how about  when the seasons on the line over a 2 pt conversion attempt. We got one and only one receiver out in pattern. When he gets knocked off his route.the  Plays toast.

No one will be overpaying for Funchess. No one. He’d be lucky to get a 1yr contract like Moncrief did this year. Be very lucky. His value dropped big time.

Some team with a lot of cap space will pay him... stupid happens every year
