What this tells me is that Ron is another Norv.  One of the better DC's out there, but not necessarily the answer at HC.

Because everything with Ron takes too long.  Everything 

he is just not smart or his character keeps him from being smart

You know why. He thought he could coach up Washington. He didn’t want to hurt Washington’s feelings.
