Since we're stuck with him another year, this is the best scenario.  His reputation is built on defense so there should be zero excuses for poor performance on that side of the ball.  Get him a pass rusher and lets see how things go.

He'll still need eyes in the sky so this is probably correct. I also want an assistant HC.

He did soooo much better against Sean Payton calling plays this year, it was actually a competition instead of Sean schooling our DCs.

Also, hopefully this takes enough of his attention that he will just not meddle with offense much at all.

True but our defense looked like crap against the Bucs and the Falcons. Not sure if this excites me all that much but it is what it is.

Glad you feel so empowered.  Not that anything you choose to do, will impact the team in any way. 

I'll still support the team I love.
