Would you be disappointed if this guy was the pick at 16??

I'm starting to like Zach Allen of BC..

PRO: Powerful hands, good motor, good inside and outside rusher, tough against the run and took on double teams, strong techniques and fundamental,  plays smart, great size already..

Cons: Not very athletic, No bend or a variety of pass rush moves.. No wow factor,, Kinda looks like he is what he is and probably a finish product,  not much upside...

Solid pick a CJ type if we are able to get a dynamic pass rusher in FA, I can see drafting this guy to be the all over line steady guy.. He could be a Jared Allen thoe as well.. Lunch pal guy who brings it every play..

What you think??

Could also be dexter Lawrence dt from Clemson

some say it’s to early for o-line but with the big dog saying with a dominant offensive line it makes everything easier look for us picking o-line in the first round if it’s a big reach maybe a move down to get more picks

They need to fix those trenches.  I wouldn't be mad if they went D line or O line in the first three picks. Unless someone drops that is the best player available in another position. Example the best LB that fits our scheme in the draft dropping to the second or third round. They need to emphasize they are committed to fixing the lines. To protect Cam and to rush the passer.

We honestly screwed up SOOOO bad winning that last game.  The team has some pretty glaring holes and a top 10 pick could provide serious relief.  A mid first rounder can be hit or miss, although I will say Hurney has been great with his first rounders.

All that being said, I think we need to focus on the o-line.  The left tackle position can't continue to be a revolving door.

I wouldn’t be mad at all— if Hurney picks him at 16,.. he’s going to be good for us... and have immediate impact.

good analysis

Watching his video

And watching JJ Watts Wisconsin videos

Allen is a poor mans Watt.

I think he can be a stud, but nervous to be taking him anywhere above 25

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
