Ron ranked in top 10 of NFL head coaches

I guess my view is..if not Ron..then who?  Its easy to say you want RR fired, but I just didn't see a replacement that I felt confident in this off season.

If we had fired RR this last off season, who would we have gotten that would be able to take us to the next step?  If it wasn't for Cam's injury we *would* have been at the next step.  The next step being..back to back winning seasons.  Sounds like a small step, but its the next step.  Did we see how people were already scraping the barrel for head coaches this time around?  It will take some strong convincing there was someone else out there that would have taken us past where RR is able to right now.

I'm totally cool with #10. Yes, he's as inconsistent as :poo: but he's the first Carolina coach to achieve division championships 3 years in a row & reach 15-1 record. Oh, & we made it to SB 50. Wowza.

If it wasn't for Cam's shoulder last year, there's no doubt we would've made it to the playoffs. So that's pretty much why he gets a pass for '18.

However if we don't make the playoffs this year, he's gone for good.

Unfortunately, coaches are about like QBs in the NFL. Everyone is looking for an elite one. You either have an elite one, you have a guy you think can be elite, or you should be looking for an elite one. These good but not great guys are fool's gold IMO. They're a first class ticket to sustained mediocrity.

*With the one exception being a "good" QB on a cap friendly rookie contract. Guys like Dak Prescott and Jared Goff are going to cripple those teams if they're paid franchise QB money.

Said it many times...2015 was a really bad thing for this franchise long term.

Many here look at it like it was just a season or two ago....something similar to the Jags being in the AFC title game a season ago.

I'll judge Ron on what he's done since then.

I mean he did take a 15-1 team to the Super Bowl...

Or do we only give the team all the credit for the success and give RR all the credit for the failures?

yes, yes that is exactly how it works.  where have you been?

yeah, he's 8-10, which is a testament to how bad the coaching is in the league.

8-10 gets you in the playoffs just enough to not get fired.   8-10 only gets a sb if there's luck involved be it thru the draft, fa, bounce of the ball, no injuries/injuries to other teams...

fire him.

I'll never forget how Wade Phillips beat Mike Shula like a redheaded stepchild in that game and then Broncos' players expressed shocked disbelief after the game about how we switched up literally nothing on offense for that game. They had us dialed from jump street because we made it very easy for them to do it. I don't even blame Remmers for his atrocious play. Beasley had shown us in Week 16 that Remmers absolutely could not handle a legit speed rusher one on one. We should've been helping him out and/or rolling the pocket all game long.

He still has not had back-to-back winning seasons.  This whole "sustained" success thing does not apply to Rivera.  I'm sure other coaches love coaching against Ron because they know he's unable to adjust and is easily outsmarted and outcoached.  If Cam doesn't show up every week, we're screwed. Bottom line.
