There are teams that want brown. They just don't want to give up anything crazy for him

Not according to everyone out there. It isn't even money or all about compensation although that is one big sticking point . Thought is that Brown is too hard to deal with.

Well if you were trading for the “best” receiver in football, but he was acting like he would quit if he didn’t get everything his way,... would you?

everything for the trade would have to be conditional. The Steelers probably don’t want conditional.

Teams are definitely interested - at the right price. The question becomes if anyone will give up significant trade value to take on his contract and the potential headaches he brings. If the Steelers up and released him today his agent would be fielding a lot of phone calls.

I think the Steelers are asking too much for him.

he wants a massive new contract, hes a head case and he's 30. Maximum anyone should be offering is a 4th round pick. Anything more is crazy.

Also if I'm the new team giving him the new contract. you better believe there would be some player conduct rules in there so if he tied out of line he could be fined or even write it in that it would violate his contract.

Obviously if you consider trading for him you want a convo on his intentions and antics and to clear the air before you trade for him, I’m sure teams are doing there research. Would be dope if cam reached out, figures out ab true intentions, and we pull off a randy moss ese trade. But at this point highly doubt we show any interest and rightfully so

Why is there another thread started for Antonio Brown, that could have been put in the other two already started. I thought this was a Panthers forum?

First time I've agreed with you

NFL is soap opera for old men

    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
    • They will still be a playoff team but they aren't contenders anymore IMO. They won't be able to spend like they have when they went to a SB and proved he couldn't carry a win at that level with a really good team around him. Now he is going to have to do it with less to spend around him. They just locked in to being a playoff bound team that's going to be a known speed bump for whoever will represent the NFC in the SB.
    • Hmm. I think he'll live up to it. Last year, about half of his team was on IR it seems, at one time or another. Year before, Super Bowl appearance. Year before that, playoff run after being third on the depth chart and being pressed into service. Is he one of the greatest in the game right now? Nope. No chance of that. Is he in the top 10 going into next season? Pretty good chance of that.  Would 20 or more teams in this league love to have the guy as their starting QB. Most likely so. He's a good QB who can implement his coach's game plan to a T and has both the confidence of and confidence in his teammates. That'll take you a long way in this league if you've got the right cast around you, and he does.
