I don't get it. But we need a back to spell McCaffrey in the worst way. We used him way too much last year, and that's a sure way to abbreviate his career as a pro.

They picked him, so presumably they've done their homework on him and liked him more than the other RB prospects on the board. If that translates into him actually being trusted to take some of CMC's carries, I'm all for it!

This coaching staff has trust issues. I think they have a hard time calling anyone else's number because McCaffrey is so dependable. If they picked Scarlett, hopefully that means he's a a guy they trust. And looking at that dude's jacked arms, ball security won't be an issue. Got damn!

And this guy is reputedly a bruiser, and we need one of those who can wear down defenses.

more i watch these film dude has quick fast twitch feet that never stop. Great quality for a one cut back and moving the pile.  Dude hardly went down on first contact.  He doesn’t dance he makes his cut and explodes.  Also has the 4.47 speed to take it to the house if he gets a step on ya.   Regardless of his past Panthers felt comfortable taking him. So he’s a Panther get over it.  Dude runs hard. Love it.  Does remind me a lot of JStew. Going to be a hell of a combo.  Hell work on his pass pro which is a con in his profile but damn he’s running through SEC tacklers.

I am strangely encouraged by this pick. The Panthers were willing to take a chance on a player with a checkered past. I cannot prove it but I always had a feeling that the prior owner was a tad too risk averse.
