Yeah he consistently goes against the best in the nfl and holds his own.

There's this silly notion that if you aren't the very best then you  suck among fans in the NFL. He's pretty good, not elite, but well above pedestrian and that is obvious.

 And this off-season is when we have leverage to sign him reasonably. Right now he is going to make 1M this year. So he has to stay healthy and perform well to get his contract. Healthy being the key. Sign him to a 4/42M with 20M guaranteed, and he has 20M in his pocket before he plays another snap. The team gets him at a reasonable salary.

Unless Shaq has a breakout season I don't see him beyond this year. He isn't worth the 9 million we are paying him right now unless he does have a good year. I suspect we won't extend Bradberry until after the season. Extending him now means he gets big money or he will likely bank on himself  having a good season and collecting big if we try and low ball him now.
