Cam, Luke, Olsen, CMC, and Shaq not playing tonight

Don't care about Luke but would have liked to see Cam get out there in games 2 and 3 while sitting games 1 and 4. This means Cam will have 1 game (let's call it a half of a game) of football to get ready for the defending NFC Champions and defensive POY assuming he doesn't play in the preseason finale.

lol he's an 8 year vet and has played in a super bowl, came out and set arizona on fire for his rookie debut during a lockout year with like no practice other than training camp.

i think he will be ok.

How much game experience does he need? The offense is largely intact and this is his second year in this offense. Let's be real, how much did you think he was going to play tonight? I or 2 series. And that is going to be the difference between winning and losing against LA?

Let's see how he does next week.

I'm fine with this. He's been healthy this camp and I would like to see the starting Oline perform before Cam is put at their mercy. I like the different approach this year. It's like the organization actually chooses to think and not just go through the motions.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
