Serious discussion- what do we do at backup QB?

Same thing we do every year...

Hope to God that Cam stays healthy.

I think they end up having to cut Allen and Heinicke, regardless of performance, to save face.  Grier probably ends up being the backup simply because of the investment of  3rd round pick...  but again, we just better hope he never has to see the field and hope he develops some semblance of a game over time.

If Hurney has learned anything he has to keep Allen.  Cutting Grier is a smart move at this point, the hell with saving face.

lol you get dumber every damn day, I love it. Grier sucked tonight (in his second preseason game with a poo OL) but because he threw a pick he deserves to be cut? FOH. Ain't responding to your trash anymore. Him and Allen both had similar numbers again and all you do is pile on Grier. News flash, nearly everyone sucked.

Will Grier is not an NFL QB, the sooner you realize it the better.  You can still follow him on social media...no worries dog.

He may not be, but you're some kind of retarded to infer that after a couple preseason games. Scared to think what you thought of Cam after he sucked against Miami in his second game. Give him a year and we'll see where we are then.

Sure changed your tune after one turnover.

I won’t post the amazing love and affection you have shown Grier on this board.  I was trying to like him but he isn’t any good.  I’ve been saying that since before the draft.  This is dumb...go love the guy all you want but he won’t be in the NFL in 2 years.

You didn't try to like him, you hated him from the fuging moment he was drafted. I haven't ever hated any pick we've ever made 1/10 as much as you hate him and what's more, you post a lot more about Grier than I do!

I got a revolutionary idea..

How about we see them play with the other 65% of our offense and a actual  game plan 1st..

Our offense was missing 3 major cogs and going against the 2nd best pass defense in the league..

Relax ppl..

    • Sober. Still feeling it. I really like how the schedule is laid out for us. Perfect for a new HC and rebuilding team. Aside from the Bengals, there aren't  any good teams before the bye. Chargers will be, but they're having to figure poo out just like we are and they'll be coming here for an early game. That one is a toss up. I like our defense against them. I think we'll give the Bengals a fight, but I wouldn't put money on us winning that one. But the saints can be swept. They're beat up and just don't have much going on. They'll be at the bottom of the division. I feel like we will split with the falcons and the bucs. There's nothing scary about the raiders or that washington team. Chicago is another toss up, but they aren't scary either....not yet anyways. We're getting them early in the season so I like our chances. I especially like our defense against a rookie QB. And the broncos....boring. Giants....again, boring. Looking at this, we've got a good defensive thing going on. I think the unit will be better this year a d we're in season 2 of Evero. I like us especially against rookie QBs, and we'll have at least 3 we're facing before the bye. We come in and play smash mouth football and just keep hitting (pounding) away and I think we're competitive. It's that schedule after the bye that scares me. Hopefully by that point they've built up a lot of confidence. You get a scrappy dawg that's got some confidence and a lot of fight in him and you've always got a shot. I think that's what we'll be this year. This year isn't about winning all the games. It's about building confidence and learning what we've got to do.
    • To be honest I just haven't been paying attention. I have PTSD from all these shitty Tepper hires. I'm just going to wait and see what takes the field.
    • What is extremely rare?  Taking a young quarterback when you have a starter?  If that is what you are referring to, at one time it wasn't that rare.
