My dudes KK, GMC, and Kung-Fu Panda are gonna go ahead and push that line back about 3 yards off the snap.  Then a polite young man by the name of Luke, will quickly escort your RB to the grass.  If for some reason you ignorantly decide to not hand the ball off, you'll be welcomed by men much less polite than Luke.  Listen to these names; Bruce, Mario, Burns.  Not names of dudes I would want chasing me.

Summation: If you run, you'll just die tired.

I wouldn't be shocked if its a tight game and for the Panthers to win it comes down to a Slye long field goal. I'll take it

Watching Bears-Packers reminded me of how awful first week NFL games can be. I say 17-13 Panthers, with Joey Slye nailing a 50+ at some point. 

Team looks sloppy but does enough to get the win. Maybe a key turnover or something.

Cam gets sacked 3 times in the first 2 drives and we go down 10-0 quickly then start to push a little too much, throw a pick or two and are down 24-6 at halftime.

Hopefully I’m completely wrong but our lines look like garbage thus far and they are gonna run all over us.

We could be playing the ghosts of the 85 Bears with Grier as starting QB and Fozzy starting at RB and the responses would be the same

Ha no. We’re a good team, at home. Playing a west coast team at 1. That’s not fluffy, pipedream , homer logic it’s numbers and data. Go check the stats on those odds and outcomes. #MATH ha

So, I need to rethink this.  I didn't see last night's game, but the score only reinforces my thoughts about the readiness of NFL offenses entering the season.  However, my question is what rule changes the NFL will implement between now and 1pm Sunday? 

The last two games that counted were 13-3 and 10-3, so I'm sure the Competition Committee is at it, and we should hear of immediate changes to the rules to remedy that catastrophe by Saturday afternoon.  Maybe the DL will be required to line up and stay 5 yards from the line of scrimmage until the ball is snapped, and then can only walk to engage the OL?

I said something like this in another thread.

I think both teams start out slow and probably neither score in the first quarter.

Game stays close with both teams taking turns with the lead but we win it in the 4th with a field goal.

I don't see either team getting much over 20, if they even get that.

I think this game is surprisingly high scoring but sporadically. We may get some dud drives early on but can see us getting 30+. The Rams really aren’t that scary of a team and kind of backed their way into the SB last year. Their secondary is more suspect than is let on but we’ve got to contain their front.

Can and Moore are going to have big games.

I start out every season expecting the Panthers to suck until they prove otherwise.  Playing the defending NFC champs is a golden opportunity to prove we don't suck.  I really hope we don't suck, but I'll stick to my strategy until then. . .
