I've had two Tahoe's and currently on a Yukon Denali. This will probably be my last of that platform. Seems like each one has progressively gotten worse in quality.  My parents just bought a '19 Tahoe so hopefully that one breaks the trend.

GM doesn't like to put enough transmission behind those engines and then tried to use torque management to make up for it but that just kills the driving experience and creates more heat in the transmission which makes them wear faster. Those LS engines are fantastic but displacement on demand sucks and it's a valve lifter killer. Fortunately, both torque management and DOD can be tuned out through a custom tune (my Denali has DOD tuned out and torque management reduced by 50%).

Agreed.  I, nor my wife will be buying another full size GM product.  Their drivetrains are maddening, to say the least.  I'm sure some of it is cost savings, but the EPA guidelines that these guys are being forced to adhere to are killing the drivetrains.

It's why I'm looking for an F150 now.  V6, but twin turbo.  Good milage, and plenty of power....plus for the first time in my career I need a pickup truck.

Such is life these days.  They don’t make like they used to.

10 year warranty. Kia is criminally under-rated.

I thought that Telluride might become pretty popular... until I saw one in person and realized just how butt fuging ugly it is. It looks like a broke dick Range Rover Discovery rip-off, another vehicle that is also butt fuging ugly.

The old ones were tanks.  Everything after 06 or so seemed like crap to me.

Loved my 2000 Explorer Sport - thing was slow as all get out but loaded to the gills with options and very comfortable to drive. Pretty sure it was in a flood before I bought it but even then it ran flawlessly for me for 8 years until I swapped for a sedan.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
