IF we make the coaching change at end of year, who do you want?

While I am not ready to give up up on the seas just yet, if it comes to it and Ron is actually fired my choices would be:

Kris Richard (DC, Dallas)- I know many will be clamoring for a offensive guru but I really like what Richard has done in both Seattle and Dallas currently. He runs an agressive defense and knows how to get to the QB. Plus, he is young and fiery... Something this team desperately needs.

Shane Waldron (passing coord, Rams)- Everybody wants the next "McVay" so why not go straight to the source? Waldron is young, innovative, bright minded.... Could be what this offense needs.

Don "Wink" Martindale (DC, Ravens)- Another DC but Ravens playing pretty well on defense. I am pretty certain they run a hybrid defense and Martindale could bring in some fire to this team. Reminds me a little of Rex Ryan (which could be a good or bad thing.)

Greg Roman (OC, Ravens)- Speaking of the Ravens, Roman has really turned around the Ravens' offense and is doing wonders with Lamar Jackson. I know he was Carolina's OC back in the days but how ironic would be if he made a full circle back to Carolina as HC?

Jim Schwartz (DC, Eagles)- Former HC of the Lions and didn't think he did a horrible job there. Runs a pretty aggressive defense and is a pretty passionate coach... Could be a good one for this team.

Eric Bienemy (OC, Chiefs)- Young OC under Andy Reid who got some looks at HC this past off-season. He is doing a great job developing Patrick Mahomes and creating a stellar offense in KC. So far, the Andy Reid tree has been quite successful.

Dark horse Candidate- Kellen Moore (OC, Dal)- Moore might be a bit raw right now but keep an eye on this guy. He is very smart, innovated, has played the game at QB. I feel he will get some looks  at HC.... I am just not sure it will be this off-season.

I did not include any collegiate coaches simply because I do not trust them at all just based off of past experiences.

Bring sleeping with bienemy in start working on grier.

If we get a new coach/GM and Cam has a down year. They are going to draft it sign “their guy”. Riley with Tua would be awesome, but I don’t see it happening...

I'm not absolutely convinced Cam gets a year to prove himself to a new GM.

I don't want it because I don't think it would work, but make no mistake that a brinks truck would show up at Bill Cowhers house.  He's here in north carolina and tepper being a steelers guy and fan, you've got to imagine he would be willing to break the bank on him.  That said, I don't think he would be good.  He's been out of the game too long and usually guys who have been out for a while, don't come back and just recatch their fire.

That said, My personal choice would be a young offensive mind, maybe Lincoln Riley.

Eric Bienemy as a Reid disciple and always ahead of the curve
Kellen Moore if things continue to progress well with Dallas
Dave Toub who is maybe the best ST coordinator ever
Greg Roman since he's made Kaepernick and Lamar look good
Frank Reich assuming he is fired but I don't think he will be

If we continue to tank this season, we will have a high draft pic in the first round .    Look for   a  Coach with offense experience and maybe a new  GM .  I think Hurney has done a better job this year its just poor coaching .   Ron has had his chance and failed   .  He has lost his mojo

    • AT got what he deserved. Be gone and enjoy those 4 catches and the bench and your pay cut
    • we have been bad offensively basically every game Rico Dowdle hasn't gone full Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson on folks.
    • Strongly disagree with the premise here. Without getting too into it, the biggest gripe for many has always been his footwork and pocket presence.  Shallow drops, happy feet, bad awareness - his overall technique is highly unconventional and not beneficial to his size/frame.  His upper body gets mad out of sync with his lower, drops back parallel to the LOS, erratic behavior. When you take that to the NFL level, you get swallowed up. And he got shellshocked and started bailing way too soon on plays. Unnecessary throwaways when he should step UP into the pocket and hit.   He got away with it in school because sooo much of his work was out of structure or quick hits to Jamo.  He was able to not bail early and stick in the pocket this last game. He also was dropping deeper than he usually does to create sight lanes. He can’t really outrun DLs so he needs to create that space via drop to survey properly. When he does these bs skip hops in the gun, he barely drops and is flooded. He needs to stay active with his feet but learn to step into the pocket more.  His average arm when he’s not doing this right turns Pennington esque.
