What is Dave Tepper thinking

Tepper’s ire I would think is more towards Rivera/Hurney than an individual player on this team. He probably realizes more than ever a culture change is absolutely needed for his club,  and JR’s bitch (Rivera) is holding this team back.

tepper kept ron on..quit blaming jr

I'm still surprised Ron hasn't been fired yet today.  The realist in me realizes it's not gonna happen, and maybe Tepper wants to see if can turn it around first... BUT sitting there last night in a half empty stadium, with the team overall playing like sh*t (the defense was not bad) I was thinking if they lose this game Ron is gone tomorrow.

PLUS overall Hurney has done well this time around, BUT with him and Ron... after last season Tepper said we will not go into another season without a viable back up and Ron|Hurney put all their eggs in the Cam basket anyway.

Kind of sucks not even two weeks into a new season realizing it's basically over :-(    (of course every week I will tourture myself thinking they can turn it around) and maybe they will.  Just not to sure, because Cam just looks so bad.

I'm curious about exactly what Hurney has done this time around that is good?

What core players has he extended to good contracts?

When has he forced an issue with Ron without Tepper forcing it on him?

How many games have we won since he came back to town?  Divisions?  Playoff games?

Hell, start another thread on this and list the good things that he has done in his 2nd lap, because I don't see a whole hell of a lot of good.

I don't think Hurney has made the kinds of mistakes he made on the first go around.  He has not buried the team team in cap hell,   I think on the defensive side of the ball he's signed some good players (Poe, Irvin, McCoy), etc and I think hit another home run with 1st round pick this season.   If anything, his big mistake was not addressing having a viable QB backup.    Overall though, I made the statement because I think I am more over the Ron era.. more so than Hurney.

Give him time.

Poe has been a disappointment, Irvin hasn't taken the field, McCoy could turn out to be OK, but hasn't shown too much of that yet.

Want to discuss the awful moves Marty has made?

End of the day, this is about winning football games, Ron and Marty combo teams have never proven to be able to do that.

David Tepper will have a quick trigger finger. He's someone that really craves praise from fans. (Hired a PR firm when he was trying to buy the team to make him look as good as possible, starred in the Amazon series, quickly implemented things we've wanted forever like putting the logo at midfield.) *And* he's going to want to persuade us to build him a new billion dollar domed facility. That's the perfect recipe for an in-season firing of a coach and/or GM.

I am not a Hurney cheerleader and we don't need to get into a back and forth on how good and bad he has been.  Out of all the things that piss me off about the Panthers..... Hurney right now is not one of them.

This is not going to get any better. To think they will pull head out ass and become a winning team this year is not realistic. You see what product is on the field and the outcome of that product.

Sorry to say that no matter the amount of homersim, this is spiraling south fast.

Thursday night games aren’t good indicators of a team and need to go away.  That being said, Cam looked like ass and I love me some QB1.  Lots of issues on this team.  There’s a lot of variables though.  Do we keep losing even though Cam improves?  Do we keep losing and Cam continues the poor play?  All that matters is winning.  I’m glad I’m not in Tepper’s shoes

edit: if we keep losing, Ron definitely has to go.  His message has run stale and we need new energy.  He’s a good guy but not a good head coach for reaching the top
