I find it hard to believe that if Kyle Allen continues playing like he did Sunday and the team is winning that even Rivera is not stupid enough to mess with that.  But this is Rivera so...

If this is the level that Kyle Allen plays at consistently then he's a very good quarterback.

Cam has had games where he passed for 5 touchdowns and rushed for 100 yards.  That's being a one-man offense.

I'm a HUGE Cam fan, but there's no way you out Allen on the bench if he continues to play like he did on Sunday. You'd literally be benching an MVP candidate.

With that said, I know everyone is excited about Allen's play on Sunday, but it probably won't last.

I still think Allen plays until he loses. Cam won't be ready for several more weeks. If Allen is on a 5 game win streak why on Earth would you bench him

While Cam might have games with more yards or a higher completion percentage I can't recall him hitting guys that clean in the hands and in stride without having to climb a ladder to get it or dive or reach behind them.

 

I also don't recall him hitting guys that clean while still on the run like Kyle did more than once.

 

I could be wrong like I said I don't remember it.

Cam has given his all to be on the field with his team under any circumstance and only the people in the Panthers building fully know to what extent. 

I've heard so many of our players over the years call Cam tough during the season and offseason. 

Showing that type of want to be on the field through it all, still holding himself accountable and damn near being this offense for most of his career. That earns you some trust and loyalty.

There shouldn't be a discussion about Kyle taking Cam's job. Not yet. Way too premature. 

Lets keep rooting for Kyle and let Cams injury get right. Best case for all parties right now.

If Allen can ball  out its going to come  down  to money.  Cam will be too expensive given  his injury history.  It would be like rolling the dice once for 20 million dollars.
