Is Allen a legit starting qb

If he keeps winning he is.  4-0 to date.  I promise y’all, Cam comes back healthy and stinks it up you are looking at our new QB for a little while.

That makes him, at worst, the 5th best QB in the league. I personally think he's 3rd or 4th after Brady and Mahomes.

If he beats Tampa and gets up to 4-0 for the season for before the bye then he has a very strong argument. 

Maybe not for our team once Cam is 100% healthy , but he's put together more than enough for some other team to be interested I'd bet. 

He's got a serious fumbling problem but outside of that he's thrown 0 picks and has 4 wins so far to his career, thats nothing to sneeze at.

We’re 3-2 without Cam, three straight wins with Kyle this season. Probably not enough to say one way or the other but do you guys think we can consistently win with Allen as a starter?

Minshew outplayed Allen because we'r played a soft, play off receivers,  we're not going to blitz zone defense. Allen is a good game manager that needs to see the field more and throws a very catchable passes. But if opponents gave us the courtesy of not blitzing us too, he may be.

He's a good game manager but he really needs a better line to be successful. The Jags gave Minshew good time and lanes. Allen had guys all over him all day.

No he doesnt...  you giving him credit for today's win when cmc single handedly willed this team to a win? He managed he game. He didn't put up I'm a starter numbers. If we had to choose between the two minshew out played allen and looked like a starter... Allen looks like a backup game manager .

He is doing his job as a backup QB. Being a game manager and getting the ball to his playmakers (mainly CMC). He had a great game against the Cardinals, but I don’t see him taking many games over against better teams. He is young though and should only get better.

Give HIM credit? Moore made a Smitty Prime level adjustment on that underthrown ball for a marvelous catch and was rather lucky his other poor deep ball was an overturned interception.

    So? What happens when Cam comes back healthy, and goes off? 

 

    I would expect a lot of the trolls to go silent. At least we have that to look forward to.
