Panther's not even going to make a decision on Cam until he is 100%

It seems like a bunch of folks are dismissing this as a non-story, but it speaks volumes.

To me, this story means we aren't seeing Cam for a while. Because this is the perfect angle to use if you're trying to avoid a QB controversy. As Cam gets visibly healthier, people are going to start wondering why they aren't taking Allen out. If Allen keeps winning, it's going to put the team in a tough spot; do you take out the guy who's winning, or do you put the face of the franchise back in? Well, this way, they have a perfect excuse in place to explain why they're letting Allen continue to start, even though Cam is healthy, without it looking like they are benching Cam. "He looks healthy, but he's not 100% yet."

"100%" means they can keep him on the bench until it's convenient and causes the least amount of turbulence.

The way I'm intepreting this, "100%" means Cam probably won't get another start as long as Allen is winning.

When Cam wants to play again he’ll play. It was his decision to sit and it’ll be his decision to play. No matter what you think you have or don’t have in Kyle Allen, he’ll never reach Cam’s ceiling who I believe has never reached it himself. So you have to find out if Cam can still be Cam. Because if he can and you sit him for Kyle Allen, everyone in the building should be fired.

When he tells them he can play, he’ll play otherwise he’d be on IR already.

Cam of late is not that good tbh you

I'm as big of a Cam fan as you'll find, but you can't put a QB who is playing as well as Allen is right now on the bench.

It has nothing to do with Cam,it has everything to do with how well Allen is playing.

Quoted to show I actually sided with the "ride with Kyle" crowd until I started digging into the numbers some more. He's done his job and the team has rallied behind him, but if Cam can even resemble his best self, it's an easy decision. The only question left is can he?

I agree, Allen has done his part leading up to the bye and getting ready to play a legit team. He hasnt lost and has built a chemistry with the rest of the starters. Let him go out and test himself against a winning team and see how he does. If you put cam back in now the pressure will be huge leading up to that game and afterwards if we happen to lose. The cam hater side of the fanbase and the media will have a field day if that game is a loss in any way no matter how he plays. If im the staff i wouldnt even put him that scenario first game back. Let kyle show what he can do and see how he handles the pressure of a big game and the results of it.

I don't really care about the media and shitfan narrative. If Cam is ready to go and practices well, play him. If he's not, continue to rest him. I honestly think it's that simple.
