Cam to see foot specialist

It is unclear whether this is just a regular check up or if it is not healing properly/suffered a setback and he is going there to look at other options. Obviously hoping for the former.

The doctor he is going to see is Dr. Robert Anderson who used to be based in Charlotte and was the Panthers team physician until a couple years ago. He is considered to be the top foot specialist in the country and NFL players from all over regularly travel to see him if they have foot issues.

I dont think you travel halfway across country to see a specialist if you're not having issues

Luke saw a brain specialist in Pittsburgh after his concussion in 2016 and we all know he didn't play the rest of that season.

Wouldn't be surprised if Cam's out the rest of the season hearing this news.

Could be a part of his standard rehab. It’s also possible that it’s a setback. A foot injury is a strange beast. Just ask Olsen. We actually talked about this on our podcast a couple of months ago, that this foot thing could linger. Particularly with his brand of play.

But again, just have to see what reporting comes out of it later today.

Could be he is getting it amputated.

Could be he had a setback

Could be a final checkup before he returns to practice.

People fly half way across the country for much less important things.

I feel like he could just get that in Charlotte...no? Has he been seeing this specialist all along? I guess we don't really know.

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
