Oh, and about the Josh Gordon crowd who are bewildered by our lack of interest---there is not room in the locker room for baggage like that.  He was probably never on our list--and that applies to a lot of other teams as well.

This ain't Madden.  There is the media circus, the drama, etc.  Probably the same people screaming for Kaepernick.  Not sure where they get their football news.

I was surprised we signed Reid to be honest.

What baggage? That he gets high. Like a lot of players. He does anything and he’s gone. At no penalty. So how is he going to destroy a locker room?

And what media circus? No one cares about Gordon. Comparing him to CK(or even Reid)is laughable.

One played at a solid level THIS year. The other cost his team games. You need to get a little further than a high school locker room to understand.

Jags gave him a Funch-like 1 year 10 million dollar contract (bust) and then signed a deal with Pitt for 2 yr 6 mill. (bust)

God dam if i dont prefer Flash over him and the fact he went to the seachickens burns more.

Like your thought process just think Gordon is the same deal man . Neither one are more than a body . Neither will be talked about in 2 years. We don’t have the magic formula to make these guys stars. I get it though, Nothing wrong with taking a flyer but history and evidence  says they would have done it already.

1. Buy him a personal jugs machine for his house.

2. Bring out his inner potential. There is ALOT to pull out and the great thing is he showed flashes consistently in Indy. We needed a big reciever because we have had problems in the red zone.

3. Watch him thrive in jarius wrights role and thank Marty 2.0 again.

4. Prediction-8 games left (reg season)-400 yrds 7 tds!

I love this signing. Interesting tid bit from Panthers.com:

“Moncrief has played in 74 career games with 43 starts, totaling 204 receptions for 2,561 yards and 21 touchdowns. He posted career highs in receptions (64) and receiving yards (733) to go along with six receiving touchdowns in 2015 – the year he was with current Panthers wide receivers coach Jim Hostler in Indy – and tallied a career-high seven touchdown catches in 2016.

Maybe he can be a WR whisper but I'm not expecting much. We haven't had a really good WR coach since Ricky coached them.

There’s a lot of unknowns about Josh Gordon. Everybody knows that he enjoys marijuana, and that he is an advocate for it. And I don’t have much of a problem with that.

Maybe his problem isn’t the marijuana. Maybe it’s a physical issue at this point. Maybe he’s having a hard time grasping concepts. It doesn’t have to be one goddamn thing.

All I know is whenever folks end up leaving New England prematurely, it typically doesn’t end up working out well for them. I’m sure there’s a few exceptions, but not many.

I was wondering what hurney was saving that roster spot for. This guy will definitely give us the edge in green bay. 4 catches for 18 yards this season? Pro bowl production

Bawahahahhahahaha

maybe Hurney was saving it to go fight for Antonio Brown.

    • This is one of my key concerns lost in the sauce that is the neverending conversation about him evading pressure and the OL. Eventually any QB is going to have to step up into the pocket and show the defense they can still beat them even if they get through. We have a limited QB who cannot consistently do this and as such we are relegated to going back and forth about how successful he was at evading pressure but we have little else to write home about. Tyler Shough stepped up into the pocket and made plays despite being pressured and sacked. He's played in about 35 less games than Bryce Young. That is a problem. And isn't just going to go away. The Bucs are going to do the same thing after watching the film.
    • Oh, absolutely! That doesn't absolve the absolute dogshit hockey that the team played in front of him, though. Only Cane that played well tonight was Bradly Nadeau.
    • Thanks for illustrating my point.  No one in the last several pages of this discussion is suggesting we should hang on to him, but anytime someone says anything less than "take him out back and shoot him" you act like they are. That's either you not understanding what you're reading or just being a nimrod because you can't keep up. (I would have said 'or just sh-tposting' but you're way too emotional on this topic for that) Either way, the result is the same 😆
