The NFL moving this game to 4:25 is more evidence they want Brees in the SB

Like seriously, why?! What on earth could other reasons be for randomly out of the blue moving this game to an early evening one? NFL rarely moves time slots for games this early in the season, usually it happens weeks 14-16, but now?!

You might be asking what on earth this has to do with Brees? It’s simple, which would be easier for us? Playing this game early during the afternoon and sunshine, or playing this game where it will be pitch dark by half time in a freezing Lambeu field?!

Us and the Packers aren’t division rivals, we aren’t tied for the same record or anything, there is no interesting story line for this game at all, why?! WHY?!?

Maybe the NFL assumes people want to see MVP candidate running back CMC against a Packers run defense that is prone to giving up big plays.  Maybe they also assume that people want to see two teams who are still in the playoffs race square off against each other.

Look at the games this week. The only one even arguably with more national appeal is Cowboys-Vikings which is already the Sunday night game. I'm also not sure this game is as impactful to the Saints in the way you are implying. I doubt they're too worried about us with a 2 game lead, better division record and 2 games of Brees vs Allen left on the schedule. You could easily argue that us beating GB is better for them because it gives them an easier path to a first round bye.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
