Official Panthers at Packers Gameday Thread

We have to get touchdowns today. Packers give up a lot of yards but we won’t stand a chance if we come away with three points when we get into scoring range. Our defense sets up well against a team that throws a lot, and the packers seem determined to not set up a running game even though Jones dominates esp when given the carries.

    • No thanks. Chances all of our WRs make it through the season healthy is slim. Thielen is one year older missed some time last year. Renfrow literally didn't think he was going to play football again. One injury and what was looked at as a "strength" of this team no longer is if we deal away assets. Off ball LB is the RB of the defense. That position just doesnt offer as much value anymore
    • Coker just had terrible luck. He came out in a deep WR rookie class and had injuries that killed his stock. If he had a healthy year and came out in 2025- I am fairly sure he'd been a solid 3rd and no later than mid 4th.  Jags drafted two LB this past draft and have Muma former 3rd on the roster and Miller former 4th both are still in their rookies deals. They did not exercise his 5th, that's normally a sign that you are not part of their future plans.   I knew going against cokeheads would be hard.....
    • I would be interested in Lloyd but I don't think we have to part with Coker and I do not want to either way given our depth in the past and also our struggles with getting real talented receivers with promise. Regardless. We couldn't resolve everything in a single offseason and I don't think we are in a "one move away" mindset. And we shouldn't be anyways as it has only bitten us in the ass time and time again in the past. I'm fine just letting things play out naturally as this is a development year anyways.
