Wake up, man. We're already at nothing at DT, we're just poised to pay a lot for it.

They are still bodies

And they arent "terrible"  only way you're gling to replace those 2 is by spending $$$ on a FA plus a high draft pick.  Or double dip.   Then youll have to find atleast one more starter level DT for the 3-4.

You do that and you're only going to be resigning Bradberry, will just have to roll with Carter and Pray He gets better, and roll with the OL as is (hopefully find a starter OG in the 3rd round)

So if you're fine with our OL the way it is, and fine with our secondary As Is, and fine how the WRs look.  Then by all means, strip them down.  But if not, they're is such thing as a salary cap and limited ammount of draft picks.  And while those DTs look bad, thats the par for a avg DT.  So just to replace them (not a elite starter, but just some joe Schmoe starter) your going to spend every penny you saved cutting them by replacing them if you went the FA.

Market goes up, just like your not going to be able to sign a prime Cam for 19 mil to replace Cam, youll get a Andy Dalton for that 19 mil

This is the "keep Rivera and Hurney because we could potentially do even worse" argument applied to the roster.

Well to be fair, you can't tell me there isn't at least a tiny corner of your brain that doesn't wonder what the current group would look like with a different coach.

Definitely not saying keep it as is (especially not on the OL) but tell me you haven't thought about it...

Maybe before Poe tore his hammy. I wanted Short cut after this season before he got hurt. Hurney kicking that can down the road was the dumbest thing he could've done.

No argument on that.

We've had that discussion, and I figure you make the same face I do whenever you see news we've "restructured" someone again.

That means

We will have to draft 2 DTs early, possibly double dip rds 1 & 2

We physical dont have the roster flexibility to completely strip a whole position down to nothing.

Our OL is among the league worst and needs a lot of attention.

Literally our Only good DB is hitting FA and going to be among the most sought after CBs in FA.

We are losing a starting LB, and no one else behind him has looked good.

Our WRs by the #s have been one of the leagues worst.  So we need to find someone outside of Moore.

Is Allen the future QB?

This is why I keep saying this is gonna be a tough offseason.

Cut Poe outright and schedule Short as a post-June 1st cut and completely start over at DT.

Poe is gone - - Saves 10 million.

KK though?  After Hurney kicked the can down the road?  Even post-June 1st, there's 28 million in dead money left.  I doubt we're willing to eat that even over a couple of years.

Why do people keep saying this?
