Ideal outcome against the Colts

If Grier plays well, and then again the following week, even if we lose 4 spots in the draft, at least we know we have something at QB.

Because he looks good against a terrible Colts team and an Aints team that could be resting people? That’s exactly what people said when Allen beat N.O. last year.

I'm still trying to be positive but Greir has no arm and poor mid level throws with poor movement in the pocket. Maybe some voodoo magic has somehow happened but if not it could get really ugly.

If it gets ugly, so be it. Gotta give the guy a chance to show what he's got since it's pretty clear at this point that Allen isn't the answer.

And “Grier has no arm”...he has more than Allen. I’m pretty sure my 15 year old son has more arm than Allen.  I can’t remember the last QB I saw that threw such weak fluttering deep balls. Half the time I expect the wind to start turning them end over end like a punt by the end of the path.

Allen was a rookie this year in terms of game experience. He got to play and we saw the good, bad and the ugly. Now he can sit and see it again from the sidelines but this time from the perspective of being out there instead of sitting there thinking about what he would do if he were out there. Grier gets the chance to do the same albeit for a much shorter time. Then it is up to who ever we hire as coach particularly if he is an offensive minded guy.  He might want to go in a completely different direction.

I’m scared of a new quarterback that comes out and does something great for the last 2 games of the season, teams get tape on them and you find out you have another turd next season when it’s too late.

so I think I would rather see a defensive stand making progress, have some offensive players like DJ and company have continued success but otherwise lose.
