We're losing Cam, Greg, and Luke all in one offseason

And to think there were plenty of people defending Gettleman and Rivera while they wasted generation type talents on each side of the ball.

We have nothing to show for the 8 years we had Luke and Cam together.

We had some great defenses. Davis and Kuechly formed one of the best linebacking duos in the league. It is legitimate to say that Cam wasn't given enough pieces to win it all but we spent quite a bit on defense over the years.

Absolute travesty. If only JR could have sexually assaulted women earlier.

No but the Huddle are idiots.

Newton returning seems unlikely, but it's at least conceivable.

Olsen, however? I'd give that zero chance.

There's just too big a gap between his performance and his paycheck, and I think he knows it. Pretty much everybody who commented on his last walk out of the locker room said it felt like "goodbye".

Unlikely? Thats not the general vibe as of late.... but I guess your sticking to your guns.

Conspiracy Theory based on cold, hard facts:

Luke is 28 and from Cincinnati--grew up a Bengals fan.

Luke and Greg Olsen are tight.  Both decided that they were not interested in remaining during a building process.

Panthers hire LSU QB passing coach Brady.  Wheels are in motion to go after Burrow.

Luke is approached about the rebuild--he is 28, an all pro MLB.  Panthers discuss trading him, maybe Cam, the first round pick in 2020 to the Bengals.

Luke and Rivera were close.  He is still mad at Tepper for firing him.   Remember how negative and animated Luke became toward coaches after the firing--not typical. Tepper decides to trade Luke to his hometown team, The Bengals.

Luke's health becomes an issue as he decides that leaving one rebuild for another is not something he wants to do.   He is a bit mad at Tepper and is not going to used as a pawn.  So, on the same day he hires Brady, Luke makes his announcement.

Greg will be next, but if Tepper cannot get the player to trade to Cincy, he may keep Cam, which might convince Greg to stay another year.  If he cannot get the assets to trade, the Panthers go with Cam for a year and build everything else.  Maybe after the draft, they sign Derek Carr or someone like that. HOWEVER--the Brady hire suggests that the Panthers are getting young at QB---is this to develop Grier?  Allen?  someone like Fromme?  Interesting.

I have spoken (written did not sound as good)

Again, unless we can manage to pull a 1st and a couple of 2nd rounders then it just makes zero sense to trade Cam. If he can come back healthy then he is worth way more than that. And because of his age and recent health history, nobody will give ya that.

Cam is a Panther next season. If he can stay healthy, he’s a Panther for years to come. If not, we will let him walk afterwards
