Rivers on the move

Help me here.  I'm struggling to see how Rivers fits with Tampa.  More specifically, how he fits with Arians' offense.

Arians likes to throw the ball downfield.  He about got Roethlisberger killed back there in his younger years with slow developing, downfield plays.  How does Rivers fit in there?  He doesn't have the arm anymore and he has never been mobile enough to avoid pressure, something that has not gotten better with age.

That scheme is how Winston led the league in yardage and played to his weakness of throwing interceptions.  But he was able to get it downfield and could avoid the pass rush enough to make it work.  But, even with him they still gave up almost 3 sacks a game, 22nd in the league.

It's sad everybody has Cam off the team already. Non-sense.

Say what you want about a 5 year plan and a re-build but healthy Cam and with Moore, CMC and Samuel this is the best offense in NFL and then our defense only needs to be average

You are just being biased and not thinking about the business side.  Everyone is projecting Cam to be traded/cut based on the dynamics of a rebuild and money it would free up.  He is an employee and this is a business.  Nothing personal.

    • The team wore down and shots stopped falling.  Ball, Miller and Kon have to play well.  At least 2 of the 3.  2/16…0/6. That ain’t gonna cut it.     If Bridges and White are the only ones hitting from 3, it’s not gonna go well.  The 3’s make Moose and Kalk work.  No 3’s it gets too crowded for them with all the bodies crashing the boards.    (Kalk needs to add strength, something awful tho.)
    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
