Competitive? We've never had back to back winning seasons, 15-1 was an anomaly, and we've only had one great QB in franchise history. I've been waiting for us to be competitive since day one, lol.

Both times that's happened (2001-03 and 2011-2013), we've had a corps of players ready. What do we have right now? We don't have a quarterback, we don't have an offensive line, we don't have a defensive line, we don't have a linebacking corps, we don't have a secondary.

We have nothing except DJ Moore and McCaffrey.

Color me unimpressed with Tepper so far.  I may change my mind in a year or two but this could be a spectacular failure all the same.  He’s a risk taker so let’s hope it works.

We had four playoff appearances in 5 years from 2013 to 2017.

That's pretty dang competitive to me.

Basically Tepper is doing what Gman tried to do a few years ago but got fired for. Say what you will about Gman but he saw the writing on the wall and tried to stay ahead of the inevitable. BTW I think Hurney sucks.

If 5 is the plan, then you trade cmc.i think 2-3 is reasonable if we can hit on some picks on the lines. We should have some cap at that point to fill in the gaps.

He is giving people what they wanted or at least what we should want. To be fair, we never should have extended TD or Greg Olsen when Gettleman left. We did. It didn't work and set us back. We have been an average to below average team with our aging vets and coaching staff. Tepper changed that up after not rushing to anything to gauge the team. He got us a practice bubble which Jerry never did and preferred a freaking ball room. He is trying to get the best practice facility and the best medical staff. 

What are you unimpressed with exactly? The fact that we didn't want to pay Olsen $7m+. Is he to blame for Luke retiring? Would you prefer he keep Rivera for the off chance that we can treadmill one more year and hope that because Rivera is here, Luke would stay? 

I see his moves as smart business decisions and finally rocking the boat to a historically middle of the road franchise.
