Actually, you didn't. And I wasn't even the one to nail you on it (which I find hilarious) :)

Moo Daeng is right. Rapoport was only discussing general time frames that were based on medical expectations. In fact, when he gave his time frame, he specifically stated that was what the Panthers expected. It wasn't his own speculation.

(you might wanna actually read the links you post)

It was Schefter who later came out with the report that said Newton was, in fact, "healed well" and would be returning to practice after the bye. Later reports from Joe Person actually confirmed that Newton's injury wasn't healing at all.

Thus that report, by the guy you held up as the standard reporters should aspire to, was totally false. It in fact turned out to be leaked misinformation that Schefter took the bait on (remember I told you, that happens).

See though, that's actually not your only error. You said Schefter isn't one of the people saying Cam could be traded.

Wrong again.

Schefter on November 4th (link)

Schefter was interviewed on a Chicago sports radio program where Newton was brought up as a possible replacement for Mitch Trubisky. He acknowledged the option, but further stated that even if it wasn't with the Bears Newton would likely be "playing elsewhere" in 2020. At the time, he was repeating something he'd said on ESPN's morning program just a week or so before.

Now again, this is of course speculation, but here I thought you said Schefter was above that sort of thing.

Guess not...

You stated I didn’t have my facts straight, in the article did he or did he not state he was expected back after the bye ?

idk what the other poster angle is, Adam and Ian got it wrong

Ian has a history of “speculation” gone wrong, see the ab to the bills report

He doesnt seem to realize all the info is readily available and you cant simoly fabricate without easily getting caught.

What are you even talking about ? You hopped in an ongoing argument at the tail end to show a link of Adam Schefter saying they same thing I said Ian said

please acclimate yourself on the actual argument before jumping in half cocked

But like...

What happens if Cam actually leaves and it turns out that she and the rest of the Panther writers were just reporting things they heard?

Is that still considered Bias against Cam?

So umm... yeah...

This thread aged like milk.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
