Would you be willing to get Mims or Jefferson in Round 2??

Remember when people here didnt want Michael Thomas at 31 because we had "bigger positionalneeds.

Lets not make that mistake at 39

We're not using a high pick (#7) on a WR (we'll use that on a position of need)

But WR is still a need, Especially for this new offense.  And grabbing a guy like Mims, who would be a top 20 pick in any other draft, would be HUGE!

Would you draft DJ Moore at 39?  The same guy, we drafted in the 1st.  Of Course!

I want OT/DT but WR is a need for sure.  I would take  a valued WR to avoid reaching for a lineman.  I think Daley is a good depth piece and the verdict is still out on Little imo. Value in free agency is key to how the draft shakes out. Despite the holes I think we can cobble together a competitive roster and work on building the core.

Had a interesting segment on Undisputed(mostly listening to sharpe), about Irvin’s comments about there isn’t any hof that have ran a 4.3(granted I think smith and Julio will be in that club one day).

sharpe made a good comparison to a car going 100 mph,It’s going to take longer to decelerate than accelerate. I’d be looking for guys that are twitchy, have fluid hips or movement, and ones who can drop there hips and break on the route, most things you look for in a db also

    • It's been many a year since we were in December talking about how games mattered for something other than draft order. This crazy, mixed up, unpredictable, maddening, uplifting and teeth gnashing season has certainly not been boring.
    • If you look at Brown and Horn's contracts, expect to pay above what he is likely actually worth. This is the Panthers suckage tax. Ultimately, much like Derrick Brown, he has steadily improved over time and that's what you want out of your young first round draft picks. He was one of the biggest and most important question marks coming into the season and he has answered it conclusively. He is "the guy" at LT. Great news, one less position of extreme importance to have to attempt to remedy.
    • This is maddening because, well, it's so up and down. When the kid's on, he can be great. When he's mediocre, we can still win based on a strong running game and good defense. When he's bad, and over his history he's this more than not, then it's a sad show that no one could win with. How can anyone know what is going to happen right now? Really. It's like picking one flake in a snow globe and shaking it once a week... there is no telling where it will end up. Things I did see on Sunday from Bryce: his teammates love him; he can make the big throws with good protection and good effort from his receivers. He isn't afraid to run. He can rise up against the best in competition (but he can also sink to the level of bad competition).  All I can say is if Canales goes with an aggressive game plan for Bryce that leans on a hot-hand running game, the team can beat anyone. If there's any wishy-washy play calling, then Bryce melts and couldn't beat anyone.  Maybe the person Bryce needs to win over more than anyone is Canales.
