You can’t just shut the country down for months...it would destroy our economy and education system

Majority of the people on this site (stirs) are living proof that your educational system has been destroyed for quite some time

right call

IOC most corrupt organization in the world....no way they would keep athletes safe

IOC was actually pushing to cancel it all together. Japan was pushing to keep it this year since the IOC was just going to cancel the whole thing. Athletes pushed for next year and got the support of both. Best possible solution.

The bill proposed by Pelosi, D-Calif., additionally seeks to eliminate debt held by the U.S. Postal Service, require same-day voter registration, pay off $10,000 in student debt per person, mandate that airlines reduce their overall carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2050, and force federal agencies to explain to Congress how they are increasing their usage of "minority banks”

and bring back Obama phones

the phones came in under bush.   did you know that?  you can look it up

Actually, the original program started under Reagan.  All that was done under Bush was to add wireless phones to the program.

I'd like to see how that plan works when you say "hey, if you have asthma, you no longer have a job.  Everyone else, back to work.  By the way, everyone with asthma please raise your hand now.  Wait, noone?"

Ok, what about this idea. Lets start the official lockdown nationwide starting on Monday for 14 days. During the 14 days we create as many freaking test as possible and mask. At the end of the 14 days everyone born on a lottery picked month or 7-8 days of a month gets tested each day. Should you come back negative, you are allowed to leave your house with a mask, qr code/bracelet and not allowed to visit anyone else without a qr code/bracelet, if you do and are caught you get 1 year in jail. If you test positive, you are quarantined an additional 14 days automatically. As this rolling unlocking takes place we will eradicate the virus by forcing anyone with it to isolate 14 days at a time until symptoms disappear. The reason this virus is unstoppable is asymptomatic carriers and the half-measures the USA is doing is like a blip on the radar for this virus.

LA has more deaths than NJ or CA.

Really screwy down in Cajun country.

Totally understand NYC issue, not sure what they do about it, besides complain.  Cuomo has his hands full.  Lots of them fleeing to FL

The NY diaspora is a problem. On the one hand, I can't blame those with the means to get out for getting out. On the other hand, this is going to spread a lot of carriers.

    • I believe you are correct. Everyone remembers that record setting drubbing of the Broncos but that was the highlight of their season. They have very good coaching overall and they have a ton of talent. With a better QB they could have knocked off the Chiefs IMO. We aren't even in the conversation of the Dolphins until proven otherwise. We couldn't even get in the end zone against the lowly Chicago Bears. We got shutout and blown out by the CJ Beathard led Jaguars for fugs sake. We can't even compete with bad teams let alone run up the score on them. To me if I'm being completely realistic if I'm the GM and my job is on the line and I feel like Tua is Bryce Young's ceiling I'm drafting QB in the first round next year unless he just magically has a season like Stroud did last year. That's it. I'm genuinely not trying to be abrasive about this it just gets really mind numbing eventually that we keep lowering the bar down down down down down and it's like hey it's fine to have expectations. And if you have a young QB in his prime and he isn't giving you at least prime Jake Delhomme arm talent it's time to keep looking for a QB.
    • Not exactly.  They show that Jones was making the most of the opportunities he had.  I was never a fan of his, but I think that the talent level in NE last year is somehow escaping the massive negative attention it should have received.  That team was terrible - especially the talent and coaching on offense - and everyone was still afraid of the wrath of hoodie. He'll have a chance to restart his career at some point.  He was a middle of the pack QB as a rookie.  Plenty of teams out there would love to make it up to middle of the pack at QB.
    • Didn't he not beat a winning team all season while putting up pro-bowl numbers?  Faster, better arm, bigger....still a weak point for his playoff team with all of that talent around him. People are so twisted up in the Panther fan base that they can't tell how ungrounded they are at this point.
