We could definitely use help at TE. Thomas looks poised to get his shot as the starter and Manhertz will probably be kept as a blocker, but we could definitely use a better backup option. Cam Sutton seems destined for the PS as a developmental project.

An interesting roster decision could come at #3 TE--there seems to be some buzz down roster at the position.  I wonder if Armah is not going to be cut in lieu of a blocking TE.  Thomas gives us a decent starting TE, Manhertz can block, and another WR type (Sutton, maybe?) or a blocking Hback type.

Armah is built like a blocker, but he's got to improve that vertical, lol. I'm pulling for him, but I have a soft spot for Fullbacks.

Alex Armah

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
