against whom? only teams i see us winning against are the lions and the broncos.

Exactly, that’s all I’m seeing too. Maybe Washington and the bears but I doubt it. 2 wins is the most likely outcome.

This franchise is a dumpster fire. Add in the fact that we now have a far left extremist liberal owner who will eventually run this franchise into the ground. Even  if we do end up winning the Lawrence lottery, we’ll ruin him just like we ruined Cam

Must everyone declare their political affiliation in every statement? Left extremist, wow? There is a reason my parents told me not to discuss politics at the dinner table, jeez.

Yet we still get people defending Hurney despite pooping out losing season after losing season lol :crying:

If I were a mod I'd honestly pass a rule here that says anyone defending Hurney gets permabanned. 14 fuging years of pure mediocrity. What more do you people need to see?

Remember that time basically everyone on the Huddle said to keep the cheap, young kicker WE DRAFTED and not Gano?

GTFO, Marty.

I remember it, and it was Dave Gettleman that drafted Harrison Butker and tried to stash him on the PS. Chiefs took him from our PS, so it was not Hurney.

Ehhhh I might have some dates wrong, but GMan was fired in July 2017. Butker was put on the practice squad in September 2017.  GMan drafted Butker.  Hurney finished putting the roster together.

    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
    • Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well.  Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world?  Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
