Marty Hurney would have drafted Herbert

Keep reaching. He isn’t the first 23 year old, won’t he the last. Sounds like more players should sit out one year by transferring because it makes you the top player in the draft and you get paid? Nonsense...

We’ll see. He’ll be a backup in a few years if not out of the league.

I mocked Hebert several times but not at 7, it was always a trade down scenario or top of the 2nd round.  As we got closer to the draft, the hopes faded as I saw him potentially around10-12, but never at 6th pick.

Way too early to tell about any rookie at this point.  Well, except for the guys on the Huddle, who, within 2 plays of a regular season game, can tell if a guy is a HOF guy or should be mowing lawns the next week.  If only the league could get by the anonymity of a message board and find your real names, I am certain most of you guys could get GM jobs next week......or go back to mowing lawns

He’s not the first QB that came in hyped after one season only to flame out. Check in with me in a few years.

He has looked the part in his limited amount of playing in the NFL. His oline sucks so I expect them to draft Sewell if they get a high enough pick.

you sound like a butthurt Clemson fan.

They took Jonah Williams last year so they shouldn't really need another left tackle. Props to them if they bump Williams to right and take Sewell, though.

Ja'Marr chase is in this draft, too, though.

What do I have to be butthurt about? We’ve dominated college football the last few years. Half of this damn board is salivating and actively hoping the Panthers lose to take our QB. Please child.

Was the oldest damn kid on the field every week and still older than a lot of the young QBs in the NFL. Good for him for being a grown man playing against some college kids.

Personally, I didn’t like Herbert. There’s something wrong when your coaches won’t take the reigns off. Same with his “amazing” debut. 2/3 of his throws to RBs and TEs and sealed the game with a hideous mistake.

I also laughed at people saying Burrow was a better prospect than Lawrence. Dude was 3 years older than Lawrence in the NC. Lawrence will be in his second year in the NFL when he’s the same age as Burrow was at LSU. Also, Burrow had the best OL and WRs in college lst year. He had a great year but it’s almost hard not to when you have 3 WRs who could all be first round picks (1 was, 1 will be top 5/10 and 1 may be), a solid receiver at RB who also was a 1st round pick and an OL that had 2 3rd rounders and 1 4th rounder just last year. I don’t even know about the other two OL and Moss was a solid college TE. People talk about Lawrence having a ridiculous amount of talent, well, no one had even close to the talent on offense that Joe Burrow had.

Joe is a good qb so it has sort of came out of nowhere that he would be out of a job in a couple years.

That’s what I would do.
