The Bus driver for the Titans tested positive for Covid.

Quote

The bus driver who drove the Tennessee Titans to their game last weekend in Minnesota, and who also drove MLB's Houston Astros on their trip for a playoff series this week against the Minnesota Twins, tested positive for COVID-19, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday per sources informed of the situation.

After news of multiple Titans players and personnel testing positive for COVID-19 surfaced, the Astros removed the driver, Pelissero added.

"We are aware of the situation and are comfortable that all of our health and safety protocols have been followed," Major League Baseball said in a statement.

I was wondering how on earth Covid spread to a NFL team out of no where. So difficult for it to spread outdoors and under the highly precautious protocols indoors at the stadiums.

But the Bus. THE BUS. No better place for Covid to spread. Small, enclosed space with lots of folks for half an hour? Yep, that will do it. Covid's wet dream.

And this right here is why I say anyone trying to predict draft order 3 games into the season is fooling themselves. COVID is a random variable of far greater magnitude than any seen in the history of the game. This incident could be its greatest impact on the season or it could only be the beginning. There is no way to know for sure because the situation is without precedent.

They may want to consider extending that testing to pretty much anyone who will be in contact with the teams.

I would be throwing n95 masks and goggles on every player for every bus and plane trip. Pretty much take away any chance of this happening again at such a low low cost.

Not necessarily trying to go off on a tangent, but thousands of kids across North Carolina will be getting on buses soon enough. Moreover, according to a recent very thorough study in India, kids spread coronavirus essentially as much as adults do, so...We're about to enter a crazy situation.

    • Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.
    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
