clutch, clutch td by gurley

That’s not on Gurley. If he falls and they get a FG, Lions need a FG for the win. Their defense was atrocious. 1 minute and no timeouts and they give up 75 yards and it looked cake walk easy. I’m sorry, but Gurley fell into a TD and didn’t really have a chance to actually stop. A big boy D has to cover WRs and not give up a 75 yard scoring drive in 4 receptions.

No reason to power through the contact and put himself that close.

Get some yards, go down, keep the clock moving, don't even give your defense a chance to choke.

Everyone knew how this game would end when he got that TD.

They could have just kneeled to 5 seconds and kick a FG. Lions had no TOs left. BUT knowing the Falcons they would have fuged it up somehow.

Lol. Exactly. You know it’s a missed or blocked FG or a botched snap. Honestly, they are just awful. We’ll just have to hope they take a G again top 10 this time.

    • Burns quit on his team, full stop. Burns was and continues to be a liability in the run.    JC has never looked this bad before the concussion. He always was a very solid tackler, from what I remember.  I’ll take the overall body of his work over his current down stretch. I’ve never had to question his heart. The FO has royally screwed up roster management in many other deals but retaining Horn continues to be the right move. He will be back to form next season.
    • I get it. I was making a joke that we have zero chance of winning.
    • Did Bryce play bad? Yes. Did the whole offense play bad? Yes.  Was Canales bad with his playcalling? Yes. Now with that being said I don't put this loss solely on Bryce Young. The seahawks are a much more talented team than us and to win in a scenario like that you need some luck which we didn't have that day.  Bryce has shown this year that you can win with him at QB but the problem is that he doesn't have the ability to elevate the rest of the team around him. Bryce was a number 1 overall pick who we traded a haul of assets to get going into the end of his 3rd year the expectations need to be much higher than 54 yards passing.  It's been nice to get some wins this year and have a chance to make the playoffs and Bryce has played a part in that but at some point the front office needs to see that you can't keep giving Bryce a pass for these low production games.
