I know there were people that wanted to have a fire sale in order to tank the season, but even if you go that route a young guy like Burns is not the kind of player you get rid of.

Older, more expensive players like Shaq Thompson and Kawann Short are the guys you dump in a fire sale (assuming their contract situations allow for such).

He's ok, but he's not a franchise pass rusher. When we need him to carry this team on his back and will them to a victory single handedly, he can't do it. If we get the chance to draft a franchise defensive end in the next draft, you have to do it. Why upgrade with a top tier middle linebacker prospect when you can reach for the 6th best edge rusher who has a round 2 grade? Am I right?
