Lol trading up for Lance would instantly be one of the three worst moves Hurney ever made.

1. Trading up for everette Brown

2. Trading up for Armanti

3. Trading up for Little

Trading up for a QB is really the only position that does justify trading up for.  The reward that you get by finding a QB is so much greater than any other position it makes up for the risk involved with trading up.

People need to realize that QBs are in their own tier when it comes to importance and that changes the way you view drafting them.

Hurney has traded up for a qb before

Have not kept up with Trask--had a good opener, then returned to mediocrity---but that was a month ago.

he looks pretty good.  doesn't look like a guy who would have really good touch, but he does.

6-10 record got the 9th and 10th picks in 2020 draft earlier this year.

We were 7-9 in 2018 and got pick 16. We have a good SOS and in the past that’s cost us. We are 9th right now on pace for 5-11/6-10 and the reason we are 9th is because we’ve played 9 games. There are 5 other teams with 3 wins. Only Atlanta has a tiny bit higher SOS. So if all us finish 6-10, we pick 13th. Our “9th” at 3-6 is because of the 4 3-5 teams.

    • According to the Committee Chairman, losing a conference championship has zero effect on rankings. If you’re Alabama. But not if you’re JMU or Tulane of course. CFP Rules:  “Things don’t matter except when they do.  Also, see Appendix A) Notre Dame rules.”
    • How do the Panthers win Sunday? Playing disciplined D.  Shough can run.  He can also find open guys.  So our team is going to have to play really well and disciplined.  We're also going to have to hit him and move him around. We're going to have to run the ball.  That goes without saying.  It's our identity.  If the zone looks aren't working, then we need to go down hill battering ram to finish this game. We can't turn the ball over.  As we've seen, when we give up the ball early and often, we loose.   Finally - which Bryce do we get?  Do we get the guy who is ready to kick butt?  Or the guy scared of his shadow.   What's the vibe going to be?  Does he give up the football?  Or does he make some great throws with it? As Canales has stated, you don't get much better than "Guys, if we keep winning, we win the division and host a playoff game."  The guys have to know, and they are going to have to play their best football.  So this game is a test.  How ready are they?  Are they good enough to take care of business?  Or will the whole thing fall apart again? I'm not sure how I feel personally.  I want my team to do well.  You never know with a "dead" team like the Saints who would be more than happy to play spoiler to our ambitions of winning a Division Title.  I'd love for us to win, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we blow it and get blown out.
