Nfl draft lottery

With some fans hoping we croak and lose out for a top 10 pick I got some idea to stop that tanking mode . An nfl draft lottery which makes sense , who ever does not make the playoffs get the first pick , this will stop tanking and it would give the nfl a big amount of views when they do a live lottery like show after the seasons over . It would be pretty entertaining

That’s a no from me. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to suffer through the draft lottery as a Hornets fan. This is the first time we’ve had a top 3 pick and of course it’s in a year of unknowns .We could have the worst record in the league not by choice and still not get the first pick. Not a fan of it personally.

The NBA lottery makes no sense............at all.   If a team wants to tank and suffer the consequences of that than so be it but randomly choosing where a team chooses in the draft based on record is retarded.  Always has been, always will be.

I was just going to say that. They were the legit worst team ever (bobcats) and didn’t get first pick.

Yep and it just compounds when the worst team picks 3rd.  Its fuging stupid.  If you are a conspiracy guy you know that the lottery was set up by Stern to control who went where.  Frozen envelope anyone?

    • It has always been a drastically inferior product to professional football because the backbone of it is intended to be an unfair, fixed system. Always has been but it has gotten worse in the Super TV contract era. Even though the product should(and has) gotten better with the NIL and free agency, they go and ruin it again with the profiteering that destroys entire conferences.  I think when the inevitable happens of a smaller super conference(or super conferences) group that basically plays a different level of sport, that should be the thing that likely sets it on the NASCAR course of steep decline.
    • No but I would expect by year 3 to show more consistency and elite traits to prove when we did not make a mistake taking him first overall. Bryce is improving far too slowly.
    • Renfrow is just sort of a 1 of 1 on the roster.  No real comparable.  If you ask him to play like others he will be lesser.  You have to want to do what he does.  That was never the Canales O nor did it suit with Bryce.  I think there usage/development of Jimmy Horn has really stunk.  It's like they had one gimmick and then that was it.  Outside of that really random ball he caught early on.  But, scheming up gimmick Jimmy Horn plays is probably a bad use of a pass down given what our O is.  Really just need to keep it basic.  Progression should be Tmac, Coker and probably RB in the pass game as the big 3 pass options.
