Can a Efe get some love?

I feel his contributions are always under valued. Seems he's always just barely making the roster as the last guy on the bubble, but man he has come a long way. I feel he is arguably the second best pass rusher on the team right now. If  I hear sack on the play and it's not Burns there a pretty good chance it's this guy. Doing it from outside and in.

It has been a pleasant surprise watching him develope. From a Europe project to full blown panther.. I'm not sure how the other guys who were awarded a Europe player in our division panned our but I wouldn't dout we got the best of them. Cheers to our friend from across the pond.

Seems like he’s really improving.  He didn’t get a lot of playtime with Ron and Company.  I think he’s the only guy from that international program that’s still on a roster and actively playing, could be wrong though.  He’s a good guy so I’d love to see him keep balling, I’ve seen his name a lot this year.  I’d love to re-sign him to a longer contract.

You don't sign 28 year old defensive linemen to four year contracts.  That's bad ball.

Listen, he's a great guy and a great story.  Absolutely no argument there.  But even the new staff just barely kept him.  Didn't in fact.  He was technically waived by the team in early September, but we resigned him the next day.

I hope he continues to play well and earns a couple more one year deals.  I'm happy for him that he got to realize his dream.  But let's not overhype a guy who is just barely hanging on.  Playing well, yes, but still barely here.

Let's see a couple good games in a row first.

He has been terribly inconsistent

All those crap free agent Defensive Linemen you have hyped in pre-season over the years .

now we have one that is contributing .

And you are backing off

He moves inside some (passing downs) so he adds some versatility--he is the reason we go with three DTs, 3 Nose tackles, fwiw.   but while we are talking DEs, Haynes has been the most improved, IMO.  YGM is ahead of where Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy were as rookies, btw, and he has been dinged up a bit.

Should absolutely be brought back as a depth piece.  He's a restricted free agent so there are several options to make it happen on the cheap.

Def a re-sign, even though he'll probably ask for a Mil but that's fair and we should pay him.

It would be nice to see that versus a real OL though, they looked clueless. its also amazing seeing man coverage on 3rd down usually that be a soft zone 3 man rush play.

    • This poo is schizo AF and I love it! It's like if Pepé Sylvia was a bookie!
    • Refs 100% rig the game. Whether it’s bias or incompetence or some combination of both. The outcome is the same. Teams, players, coaches, all get cheated and potentially lose their jobs because of the refs idiot bullshit. The NFL is complicit in this because the refs have no consequences and nothing is fixed mid game. Therefore in that sense the games are rigged. You are not seeing the better team win.   Secondly the refs are indignant and don’t like being told then they are wrong and change the way they officiate off that. I don’t give a fug if someone is yelling in your face. You should have the integrity to call the game fair and justly. Enough is enough. They should be held accountable. They already stole a god damn Super Bowl from us and are about to derail the franchise with last weeks all you can eat cheapshot bullshit. Add insult to injury that it was against the poo infested gutter ball Saints winning off penalties. Priority #1 next season is destroying them in every way imaginable.
    • I’m not an nfl script theorist. But more of a “NFL controls momentum in key games and it works to their advantage 80% of the time theorist” and I think certain refs get certain games for certain reasons. I could be very wrong, but I think the NFL wants us and Tampa to drag out to Week 18 and I think they knew if we beat NO, it could be over this week. It’s more exciting to drag it out and let pivot back and forth.
