I would like to point out that my contribution to Teddy's salary was zero since I haven't bought tickets or merchandise since Teddy was signed.  I'm mildly upset that Teddy is looking worse and worse with each game. His salary does not particularly worry me since I paid none of it, and the 20 mil is probably near the minimum you were going to get away with paying any FA starting qb.

I totally understand that logic, but I prefer the team building side of being a fan to even the game experience...signing Teddy DID NOT seem like a very smart long term football move to me, and it's playing out that way in front of our eyes.

What would have been the major flaw of our starting QB trio being Allen, Grier, and PJ...if you are trying your absolute best to build for the long term, with both draft and cap implications in mind?

we were never going to be one loss or less like jacksonville or NYjets so anyone thinking teddy two yards is the difference there is wrong.  i think i and others look mad we got conned by Payton because our owner let the radio dj stay at GM for no reason once again and that the coaching staff who was supposed to be these geniuses look like clowns and we're stuck with them for years

This will be the closest we will get.  As long as we keep TB we might as well build up a superior defense because that is the only way we are going to the playoffs with TB.

Hope he can score enough points and the defense hold it down.

If Teddy was alittle bit better....... just a little bit........ this team that I thought would finish at best 3-13, should easily be 10-3 right now(maybe even 12-1). I do not know why fans were expecting Teddy to be prime non-playoff Peyton.

I look forward to the 2022 team.

4-9 isn’t better than I thought lol

Well we were 5-11 last year and lost Cam, Luke, Bradberry, Addison, and McCoy. Our salary cap was complete poo and our owner was saying it will take around 5 years to turn this team around. Both Baylor and Temple only had 1 win in Rhule’s first year. So why exactly were you expecting more than 4 wins?

I’m full on tank commander. But I am still gonna get bummed out about awful individual play. Teddy is awful. Losing with style points is important for a new regime. The losing is expected. But are you Patricia bad or McDermott bad? One shows glimpses of ineptitude, one shows glimpses of promise.

I think the fact that all of our losses except the Bucs have been by 1 score (and really in one of the Bucs games we had the ball down 1 score in the 4th) shows promise. The players are out there competing. Are there issues? Absolutely but its not like they are the Jets or Jags and getting blown out every game. The Point differential is -25 on the year, for comparison the Browns who at 9-4 are -20 (i get its not the best stat but still).  I would consider that a win with such a new coaching staff, a ton of new players and no offseason.

It's going swimmingly. Aside from some early unexpected wins, it's been a season of close, competitive losses. That's perfect. You don't want to see your team blown out and looking completely hapless week in and week out but we need premium draft position to get the talent we need to field a contender. This isn't a contender roster right now with the most vital missing element being a QB. Just finish taking these final L's and we move on to year two of "The Process". If the process is working, expect a .500-ish record next year. 2022 is when we should be a legit contender.

It will be interesting to see how the last few games go. Is it going to be similar to this year where the players are competing and the games are close but they just dont have enough talent or is it going to be like the end of last year where the team just gave up and was down 3 scores in every game to end the year. If its the first I think we are set up well for the process, if not oh boy its going to be a long couple of years.

I expected the team to win the same or more games because it's hard to do worse than a team that literally gave up the last quarter of the season but here we are.

Bingo. Anyone expecting a quick turnaround wasn't paying attention to the reality of the situation and Rhule's history.  I'm encouraged by the fact that we've been competitive in virtually every game. I'll start to get concerned if we don't see a significant step forward next season. Like I said, I'm expecting .500-ish. Somewhere in that 7-9 to 9-7 range.

Agree completely. Competing in each game, each week while losing is like the best case scenario for this rebuild in year one.
