Carolina interested in Haskins

I'd give you Grier but Walker at least showed more discipline and capability of running an offense than Haskin.

Kicking the tires doesn't me he moves into the #2 spot automatically.  He'd have to earn it.

We just watched Heinicke outplay Haskins.  So why would we want him and it doesn’t matter where he was drafted, that was a WTF drafting blunder.

We have Teddy and Walker. We will draft another QB, so that fills our needs.

I always love these “Huddle Meltdowns” over nothing really.... it’s not like they signed him... plus I’m encouraged they are looking at ALL available talent. Maybe he’s not a fit here, maybe he is? If he was brought in and was able to snag a spot from anyone on our current QB roster, that tells us what the current talent level is.

Extremely cheap, no harm, no risk, and kick him out if he doesn’t want to conform to the high standards.

This is a good point. In the past we wouldn't even do the due diligence on a player like this.

I am genuinely glad those days are over.

He bought into his own hype and got humbled. I doubt that with a prove it deal where's he's an expendable backup that he would just go back to partying and slacking same as before. It's no secret that he has to overcome that reputation now if he wants a football career.

That is a very important fact that often gets overlooked.  Do not want.

Yes, very important indeed.  If you go sign him now, he jumps right back in the saddle without any time to reflect on consequences. This kid needs to sit and think about his actions for a period of time. Maybe he will eventually realize what he is throwing away. At that point, he may become a backup somewhere with a chance to work his butt off for a bigger role
