Matt Rhule speaking as panthers GM- " I DO NOT WANT TO BE THE GM!"

fuging guy can not stop lying.

I guess someone needs to start the David Tepper hate thread, hes about to start his cycle. Tepper wanted a coked up house pet killer thats been AWFUL in the draft for the last 5 fuging years. What a joke.

You’re not the only one. The guy has been successful as a hedge fund manager but that has absolutely nothing with football.

He's basically a football fan that made a fortune trading stocks and made enough money to play Madden franchise mode for real. Bold move let's see how it works out, not great so far

That describes pretty much all owners.

@thefuzz hates'em too. Jesus christ I know its popular to lie now, just Rhule takes it to another level. Most of it is not coach speak either. My honeymoon was over with Tepper when he got NC vs SC for his Disney world. Then the mother fuger took away the seats form some of the realest fans in the panthers world.

I just don't trust Tepper to build a winning football team.

It took the Pegulas 7 years to figure it out in Buffalo and they had owned a professional sports team prior (NHL's Sabres).

Shoot, it's taken Haslam 9 years to get Cleveland going.

We're about to start year 3 of Tepper.

On local radio here in Raleigh, Jones just said Tepper was prepared to hire Caserio and "pay him a lot of money," before the Texans and Easterby did the same thing.  Also, inferred that Dodds withdrawing from consideration for the GM position has to do with Rhule being "the guy," here, so if a guy is looking to be an autonomous GM, Carolina isn't going to be a fit.

Do you know what station this was on? I haven’t seen anyone else say this and not on jones Twitter

If the reins of roster management are completely given to Matt Rhule as final authority then we should go ahead and design new uniforms in a Baylor-Temple hybrid scheme.  I like Rhule but he needs to cast a wider net into the talent pool.

    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
