But 4 players got 1,000 yards!...while the offense was 21st in yards

beyond the novelty it means nothing.

4 players with 1000 yards despite having to work around a pile of poo at the quarterback position. he is 31 years old and went from being a college team’s passing coordinator to earning multiple head coach interviews in the span of one year. let’s just say he’s bringing a little more to the table than you.

It means we ran the offense through 4 players. That's all it means. We didn't have anyone else to utilize. The TEs didn't get yards. Davis was the only RB we used regularly.

Compare it to our more productive offenses in the past or to other offenses in general and you will see more players contributing to those yards. The Chiefs have 3 1k yard producers and the Bills have only 1. Yet they are obviously better offenses. They have more players who produce regularly.

It's a novelty stat that is meaningles other than to say we have a thin offense

Would bill paracells count? Even though he got jobs? Jimmy Johnson got his names thrown around for like 20 years after he "retired". Its hard to know about interviews pre-interwebz days.  Most time coaches/agents didnt want to know " Coach _____ got a interview, but the team hired a different one"

No he wouldn’t.
