Yeah it was weird. His head never really hit anything. Looked more like his neck got bent awkwardly. Not a doctor so have no clue if the neck bending some way can cause a head/concussion issue, but he certainly looked concussed.

His hands came off the ball after he got hit pretty hard. His head doesn’t have to hit the ground to have an impact although it looked like his face mask did hit after he was rolled over. The initial hit was pretty hard too.

With his hands dropping the ball when he went to the ground and his wobble trying to walk makes me think he absolutely got concussed.

Man, the refs sure don’t want KC to lose. How is that not taunting? WR on the ground and Mathieu pushes him down, steps over him and on him while flexing and no call.

I don’t buy in to conspiracy theories but damn there were multiple refs right there. Just feels like you watch that and wonder how calls like that are snap calls on other teams.

Yes d1 to NFL players run 18 to 22mph.

(Remember next gen putting a speed on Cmac it was over 22mph)

If I run at 18 and you run at me at 18 you have a 36mph closure.

Why do you think they describe a game as a series of 40mph car crashes?

Or the equivalent of standing on a 10ft basketball rim and diving headfirst into the ground 30 or 40 times?

If my memory of force vectors is correct(and it is 20+ years old) and 90 deg. collision wouldn't quite work that way.

Carter got flagged for less.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
