Devin White... Micah Parsons

If we don't like the QB's left at #8, would you take MLB Micah arsons? After watching Devin White last night change the momentum, makes me wonder having someone close to Luke's ability might help complete the defense turnaround? We need a general on defense. Still get a LT in the 2nd and a CB in the 3rd.

I'm not pushing for Parsons, just saying watching White reminded me of Luke and the importance of a great MLB. Just wanting opinions.

He is a helluva a player. But if the team is taking a more analytical approach, positional value speaking, he is not worth it.

lol. i love when people post comments when they have zero clue. i mean do honestly have 0.1% of a clue what the team is thinking?

but to reply to your question, with my opinion, I believe if we do not go QB, and we stay at 8 - Micha has the most immediate impact at 8. that said, i think if we do not go QB we should trade down because we need multiple picks to rebuild our offensive line.

gees man. Im stating the obvious. Im NOT saying they wont get him, but any amount of reading will show that at #8 an off the line LB is not the BEST value. Chill dude.

I'm for drafting a MLB, just not at #8.  Parsons is no Luke...very good, but not a generational-type talent.

I like Parsons a ton as yes good as a rusher too so he had more impact than most MLBs. Wouldn't be mad at the pick.

But eh. Would rather trade back. Secondary abd O-line are a much bigger need than MLB. Shaq and JCJ are solid enough and theres some decent LBs on the market and in the draft.

If the bpa at 8 is a Lb then you look for a trade partner. We already have an expensive 1st pick LB with great athleticism. You don't win today collecting top quality LBs. They don't effect the game enough to matter, the ball is tossed over their head down field, and to make matters worse Parsons is not good at defending the pass, so we'd get wrecked. No more bad decisions. We need to build up our passing attack in the draft until we are a dominant passing team. A LB can be added later in the draft if needed (P.S not needed).

To his defense, he never stated that he knew what the team is thinking...that’s why he said “if”.

8 is no mans land in the draft. its one of those spots where most players are not a value pick, but then the TOP guys if they fall to 8 is like a question mark...8 is seems like a spot you either trade up from or a trade back to a team that once to trade up to land a guy we made not need.

i see at 8 a lot of teams wanting to nab a WR that we dont need

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
