It’s hard to get through to dumb people.

People see what they want to see. Most vouching for a CMC trade were against drafting him to begin with. His injurious season last year is the crow they’ve been waiting to serve for 3 years. They’ll likely eat their share next year now that the organization has figured out they can spread the ball around and not put the entire workload on his back.

CMC is sickeningly overrated .. RB's that produce are easy to find, why pay big for one?

No, CMC isnt almost like a WR too .. WR's catch balls beyond 3 yards from the LOS or behind

Your sickeningly sick. Like the sickest. Idk how someone could be so sick to not understand that CMC is one of those guys that scores TDs in championships. To win ball games. Sometimes he does it beyond 3 yards from the LOS and sometimes he does it behind. He's a WR, a RB, and a threat to any part of the field. Every team needs that player on their team. It's just sick to underestimate the value of that.

Almost makes me wanna throw up.

DeShaun and CMC are mutually exclusive...

...which would you rather have?

I am really disappointed in many of the newbs.  What the hell?

This thread must be a negative rep test by the admins or something. Two brand new posters with opposing cartoonish hot takes.

The huddle is a mysterious and whimsical place. ‘Tis always been as such.

I mentioned it because people seem to think the only way we could pull off a trade is to give up our biggest asset. QB is the most important position in football but you don’t trade your best weapon leaving your new franchise QB without a future HOF weapon.

I dont think they would want CMC. If they wanted a trade and players were involved, I would see them wanting Burns or Moore. They already have a high priced RB. People are speculating CMC because he's one of the best RBs in the NFL and he would probably be needed to make a trade of this magnitude work. I think they would want Burns, 2 1sts and 2nds. I dont see us making this move, but if we did, it wouldn't surprise if CMC had to be involved to make it work.

If we could get Watkins by trading CMC, and are able to get Javonte Williams in the second round I think we end up better off. That’s not a slight at CMC. It’s just placing a higher value at a QB, and thinking very highly of Javonte. He would run very much like CMC between and outside the tackles (He doesn’t have the last gear like CMC or route tree, however). The benefit overall of Javonte plus Watkins is greater than Teddy and CMC. Teddy is the problem for CMC, not CMC himself.

Of course he's overrated.  I mean good god every running back can produce a 2000 yd season.   I think we have one projected in the 7th round that will be just as good.

Your take is about as trollish as any I have seen.

Do you watch football at all?  Name me one linebacker that can cover him one on one.  Hell I'd venture to say there probably aren't many CB that can handle him.  His route running is elite.

His salary is high, no doubt, but his ability to basically play two positions is why he is worth the money.

Sir do you watch football ? Christian McCaffrey is the only back in Carolina history to have a 2,000 yard season Jonathan Stewart didn’t do it DeAngelo Williams didn’t do it so it’s not as easy as you think sir and a 7th round back who cause last time I checked theirs no 7th rounders that’s have had a 2,000 yard season if that was the case Zeke would have it (had the best O-line in the league at one point) Karma would do it and for you to even lobby for Christian McCaffrey being traded shows how much you don’t know football you don’t gotta O line already and now you don’t gotta future Hall of Famer either Watson is 1-6 against Carolina even Steve smith said it would be a dumb trade cause your trading away way too many assets... that should tell you something Steve smith said no one could replace him until DJ Moore and he was right. That’s like trading a prime Cam Newton for Lamar Jackson.......

    • I don't think so. I think once you're measuring electronically, the spot is where the sensor says it is. So if it says half yard short of the line to gain, that's the spot. Now how that works with scrums and the ball moving on two minute drills and poo is anybody's guess.
